Founding Partners

Amanda Birt - Amanda Birt has over twenty-five years of experience in the disability field. She has been an associate family, meaning that she provides support for people with disabilities who live in her home whilst teaching them life skills and other necessary processes. She has twenty-two years of experience working in group homes and day services for clients that are intellectually and/or physically disabled. Amanda has obtained lots of information on how non-profit businesses are run and how the financing works, even though this information is always changing. On her resume, she has worked as a residential care worker at a private nursing home.  Moreover, her close family friend has two daughters that are intellectually disabled, so she has been assisting them since she was sixteen. She continues to learn about disabilities and managing teams. She has training in many fields, such as autism. Furthermore, she has many certificates: Sexuality Training, MANDT, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, First Aid and CPR, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, WHMIS, as well as various courses and training in autism. Continuously, she also has a diploma in Human Services Occupational Specialities from Annapolis Valley Campus as well as taking a year in Disability Studies at Ryerson University. All in all, Amanda Birt is a renowned worker for those with disabilities and plans to bring forth a secure and appreciative environment for clients.

Tracey Arsenault - Tracey Arsenault has six years experience working as a residential care worker. She also has nineteen years of experience working with those who have disabilities. Tracey is also an associate family, meaning that she provides support for people with disabilities who live in her home whilst teaching them life skills and other necessary processes. Furthermore, she was the lead of a group home for six years. She also has many certificates: First Aid, WHMIS, Palliative Care Training, Transfer Lifting and Repositioning, Infection Control and Protection, MANDT, Gentle Persuasive Approaches and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. Overall, Tracey Arsenault is an established and certified resident care worker with experience that she is ready to use to provide a safe and welcoming environment for clients.

Lindsay Hollett- Lindsay Hollett has over four years experience as a data entry specialist and has worked in many different fields over the past 22 years. She has 15 years experience working with people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Lindsay obtained her diploma after completing the Human Services course at Holland College. She was a caregiver to her elderly family and assisted her uncle with basic living skills. She has experience with behavioral disabilities such as ODD, ADHD, and extreme paranoia. Lindsay worked as a residential community care worker during the pandemic within client’s homes. She has completed Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, MANDT, WHMIS, TLR, Occupational Health and Safety and Basic Rescuer Level C and Standard First Aid. Lindsay Hollett is determined to create a business where the ‘human’ aspect is the forefront of services instead of the label of a disability.
